This position will be responsible for daily operations to include technical solution delivery, application operations, and networking infrastructure operations.
Serve as liaison between agencies for infrastructure support activities, outages, issues and escalation for day-to-day server outages communicating statuses to affected areas.
Participate in meetings and communications with Account Managers.
Track status of open Work Requests and escalate as priority demands.
Author technical work request documents based on agency needs.
Review Change Management tasks and make recommendations to the Systems Engineering Manager for approval/disapproval.
Submit tickets, escalate based on priority as needed.
Review work request documents – Statement of Work and Cost Quotes for accuracy, submitting for final review and approval to Systems Engineering Manager.
Submit servers for deprovision/decommission.
Perform reconciliation of agency server bill to current server inventory.
Experience in network engineering to include analysis of network requirements and performance for a large scale network. Knowledge of data and telecommunications.
Oversee current workload by Network Support Team and hold weekly meetings with the team.
Schedule, track and prioritize network-wiring jobs.
Review and update procedure documents. Attend weekly meetings to provide status updates and discuss upcoming wiring needs for the agency.
Review network wiring cost quotes and procurement documents for accuracy.
Review the agency’s circuit bill for accuracy and for identification of possible costs savings.
Create work requests between agencies as they relate to work performed by Network Support.
Review monthly network utilization reports and make recommendations for increased performance at agency offices statewide.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
